Bruce Springsteen's rich, raspy voice gives an impression of great maturity, but when "Born to Run" was released in 1975, The Boss was just shy of 26. With years of honing his craft and earning his iconic nickname as the paymaster in one of his early bands, Bruce, along with the steadfast support of the E Street Band, brought the tales of blue-collar New Jersey life to international resonance.

One of Springsteen’s best-known works, "Born in the USA," reflects the after-effects of the Vietnam War. Although often misinterpreted as a patriotic anthem in 1984 during Reagan's era, the song’s true message shines through in Bruce’s socially conscious songwriting. Springsteen, ever the artist with integrity, even turned down lucrative offers to use the tune in car ads.

In the late '80s, Springsteen parted ways with the E Street Band and embarked on a varied journey through the '90s. He later took a memorable detour with "Streets of Philadelphia" and eventually reunited with his trusted sidekicks. Today, while many of his peers have retired, Bruce continues to deliver superlative work, with "High Hopes" ranking No. 2 in Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Albums of 2014.
