Anna Karina Prints

Branded as an icon (and Jean-Luc Godard's muse), Danish-French actress Anna Karina is arguably most famous for those big luminous eyes or possibly her collaboration with French film director Jean-Luc Godard. Although affiliations between directors and their leading women was highly popular in the 60s French New Wave era, theirs was different. Godard was able to uncover parts of Karina that never seemed to resurface after their conclusive end. The two married but 6 years (and 6 films) later they divorced in 1967. Karina went on to produce and direct her own films, write four novels, and re-marry another four times. This gallery looks back on some of her most memorable moments.
