Anthony Bourdain Prints

Hailed as the ‘original rock star’ of the culinary world, Bourdain was able to make the gritty truths of exploring (and consuming) exotic local specialty dishes look fun.

Bourdain was born in 1956 in Manhattan to French descendants. It was whilst on a family holiday in France that his love of food was sparked by trying an oyster from a fisherman’s boat. Graduating from The Culinary Institute of America Bourdain went on to work in many professional kitchens, including several years as an executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles in Manhattan. He went on to do food and travel shows including Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and latterly, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. It was whilst filming Parts Unknown in 2018 that Bourdain tragically committed suicide. It is safe to say we lost a legend in the world of food and travel.
