Francis Ford Coppola Prints

In 1963, a low-budget horror cult film called Dementia 13 was created, this being the first feature written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Today he bears 5 Academy Awards, 6 Golden Globes, 2 Palmes d'Or and a British Academy Film Award.   It’s safe to say Coppola was a significant filmmaker in the New Hollywood wave of the '60s and 70s...Branded as somewhat erratic, Coppola submitted to his intense creative passion, which more often than not resulted in high praise. Emerging in the early 70s with some of the other greats (Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas), his revolutionary formation of the gangster-genre in the multi-award-winning film The Godfather (1972) cemented his legendary status in Hollywood. However, it wasn’t always smooth sailing for Coppola - the filmmaker endured various setbacks in his career with projects such as Apocalypse Now (1979), widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, even though it almost led to his own demise. Despite this Coppola remains a filmmaking legend, with his name in the credits of some of the best films to emerge from Hollywood. Here is a collection of some great images we have gathered for you...
