Humphrey Bogart Prints
"Here's looking at you, kid..."
After a string of movies in which Bogart was cast as a gangster, a role in which he was not comfortable, he managed to break out and become a leading man. Immortalised by his performance in 1942's Casablanca, he went on to have a passionate real-life romance with actress Lauren Bacall. Meeting on the set of the 1944 film, To Have and Have Not, the two were married the following year, beginning a long relationship as co-stars and as husband and wife. Bogart was Hollywood A-list through and through, and one of the leading members of the infamous Rat Pack ensemble, sharing the limelight with iconic crooners like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
Following his death in 1957, Bogart has been called the “number one movie legend of all time” by Entertainment Weekly, and the “greatest male star of classic Hollywood” by the American Film Institute— both recognitions of his impact and influence.
