˜The Prince of Motown" is among pops most acknowledged artists, with his chart toppers including Sexual Healing, Let's Get It On and I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Motown's best selling record of all time.

He was a visionary for rhythm and blues music, exploring controversial sexual and societal themes. Gaye mastered a multitude of instruments in his early teens, but most notably boasted a extraordinary vocal range, harvesting hits from funky dance to romantic duets. His career surprisingly began out of sight as a drummer for soul legend Stevie Wonder. But, it didn't take long for him to enter the spotlight. Despite the love he expressed through his music, Gaye had no easy road to the top. His chilling relationship with his Father saw him add an to his last name, to disassociate himself with the toxicity. And it was this fiercely hateful conflict which eventually halted his life, in a calamitous manner when he was fatally killed by his father following an argument that grew out of control. Three years after his untimely death Marvin was initiated into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a small compensation for such a wonderful talent lost.
