Iggy Pop Prints

James Newell Osterberg Jr, lead singer of the band that blew the minds of anyone who saw them. That band? The Stooges. The name you know him by? Iggy Pop.

Even from his first band, The Iguanas, Iggy Pop is best known for his lust for life, catapulting himself into his music, often leaving him bruised and broken but incredibly liberated. With his flowing blonde hair and sun-soaked body, its incredible to think Pop is only 4 years the junior to The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger. Pop's influence can be seen extensively through bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, and Future Islands. His legacy will see him be a part of the tapestry that makes up popular music, placing him perfectly alongside the likes of Bowie, Reed, and Bolan. You've got to hand it to Iggy Pop; during a time where Glam was ruling, Metal was rising, and Rock 'n'Roll was losing its magic, he kept his sound his own and stopped at nothing to make the kids dance. Lust For Life, Search and Destroy and, of course, Passenger are the gems we will forever treasure.
