Abbott was born in the Deep South and raised in Venezuela. Specialising in celebrity portraiture, his career began with a photo of Kurt Vonnegut holding a bunny rabbit. His work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, People, Rolling Stone, and more.

In his time he's done work for KISS, Lou Reed, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Robert DeNiro, and countless other big names.
